Our Video Helps to Simplify Complex Global Businesses Like Sumitomo

How do you take a complex global business and simplify it to communicate its pure essence? This was the problem facing Sumitomo Corporation of Americas when they needed to distill their history and values into a 2-minute corporate brand video.

Case Study: Sumitomo Values

Sumitomo is a 400 year old Japanese keiretsu or holding company that consists of 947 individual companies. Sumitomo Corporation of Americas is its Western Hemisphere counterpart. Sumitomo is a vast and multifaceted organization, but it also has a strong set of values and a consistent point of view. Our challenge was to help stakeholders gain a quick understanding and also feel a sense of pride in what Sumitomo Corporation of Americas is all about.

The Result: After the video launched internally the corporate communications department received feedback signaling a successful launch. The video can be used in all types of situations, from recruiting fairs to leadership meetings to sales scenarios, as an introduction to the company. It also inspired a video series highlighting Sumitomo’s unique company culture, with each video showcasing projects that exemplify the Sumitomo values.
