STEVE BLOCK, CHIEF OPERATING OFFICERIn addition to his duties as the Chief Operating Officer, Steve brings his former corporate experience to bear in the development of client communications strategies and integrated message planning. From Tribe’s award-winning productions for Stanley Black & Decker’s Investor Relations site, to a series of Hess Values films; from American Express Company’s marketing and internal communications to Coty, Inc.’s executive communications. Steve developed his resourcefulness and ingenuity during his years of service at AT&T, where he served as Corporate Vice President, Brand Advertising and Media. He is credited with many of the brand advertising campaigns that helped build this American icon. As client champion and principal contact with advertising agencies, AT&T attained the high ground of emotional storytelling; they consistently harmonized technology-based services with a human touch. His efforts earned AT&T the title “Advertiser of the Year” from USA Today. As AT&T’s media buying group head, Steve was responsible for purchasing strategies across AT&T’s divisions, leveraging budgets in excess of $500-million. He was the senior executive responsible for the AT&T’s sponsorship programs with Disney-Epcot, USA Olympic Teams and the 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Games. After AT&T, Steve co-founded Shake, a sales promotion agency and 360° marketing company. Shake launched a solar energy company from naming and identity to sales collateral and web communications. Shake was sold to Euro RSCG, a multi-billion dollar global marketing services company. Beyond running both a Fortune 500 company’s marketing communications department and later an enterprising creative services shop, Steve is a founding board member of the Steven A. Cox Charity Classic which has raised over $5 million for cancer charities. |
