Five Swarthmore students, three intense days of filming, and no script. The result: nothing but the truth. The "Swarthmore Unscripted" DVD captures the passion, focus, and spontaneity of Swarthmore students, creating an honest, direct – and highly effective – recruiting tool.
Video Transcript: Swarthmore: Unscripted I am a first generation college student. How’s it going? My name’s Emiliano Rodriguez, I’m a Strong, black man. Loves the lord. I’m Mac Goldstein, I’m from right outside of San Franscisco. I’m just a person in the world. I’m a human being. That’s who I am (laughs). Swarthmore Unscripted Swarthmore campus with students walking and chatting happily. In the music room, Emiliano plays violin. Emiliano, Junion Texas I love going to practice because it’s like I’m accomplishing something but it’s not homework, you know, so it’s a little bit more laid back. Emiliano playing rugby Rugby is a really cool experience. We like to call it the last bastion of masculinity at Swarthmore but that’s just sort of a joke. I’ve devolved a lot of sort of different life plans, and I’d love to open up a non-profit in my home town of El Paso, Texas to study sort of border issues. So there’s all these things that I’d love to do and only a limited amount of time to do it in. Emiliano at a barbeque, in class, practicing violin again. |
