Take a Look at Tesla’s Self-Driving Demonstration Video

Autopilot Full Self-Driving Hardware (Neighborhood Short) from Tesla Motors on Vimeo.

I was recently watching this autopilot test demonstration of Tesla’s latest self-driving car. From a video perspective it serves its purpose as a product demo, but it is not terribly innovative or unique.

What am I am struck by, however, is video’s ability to simply relay an accurate experience, to give the viewer a feeling of perspective. Video takes you places, shows you things you couldn’t otherwise experience and opens your mind up to new ideas and possibilities. It is unparalleled in its ability to do these things simply and relatively inexpensively.

The power of film is something I’ve always believed in, and it’s just as relevant, perhaps even more so today, in its ability to teach and share experiences. And, by the way, it never hurts to use “Paint It Black” for your soundtrack.
